Stinky Toe Cheese

How is it possible that someone this cute can have feet that are so stinky you could quite literally be knocked out by the smell?

Poor Liam.  He got his Daddy's stinky feet!  On the up side, look how stinkin' cute he is! With a face like that you can't help but love him, stinky feet and all.  He is lovin' the Jumperoo and is getting way more exercise than I am these days.  This morning was pretty rough for him though.  After the above photoshoot, he went down for his first nap and was kicking the birdie box on the crib.  I guess he doesn't his own strength because within a matter of minutes I heard a loud thump and crash followed by, "whaaaaaaaaahhh!!!!!!"  The birdie music box had fallen off the rails and landed on his little head.  He's got a pretty good bump right between the eyes.  Man, some mornings it just doesn't pay to get into bed!

Rain Rain Go Away

Thank goodness for friends who are willing to play dress up and come over in the rain.
Hattie, Henry and Kristal all showed up with their hoods on!  I mean what else are you gonna do when it looks like this outside?!

I wish I could say I have thought of creative things to do in the rain, but we have really just watched a lot of movies and played super heroes...go figure.  Jude really isn't all that into arts and crafts lately.  He would rather fight than color for sure.  But one thing he is really enjoying lately is puzzles.  When he was one or so and all was quiet, I knew that when I found him he would be in a corner somewhere reading books.  Happily those days are back, but now he's doing puzzles.  When I walked into his room on Tuesday, he asked me to leave so that he could do his puzzle by himself.  Nice!

A New Hero in Town...

Meet Dan!  He is the latest hero to win Jude's heart.  Much to my dismay, he chose to wear his new Dan mask to the mall on Monday.  Dan is from Bakugan.  Say it with me, "back-oo-gaan."  So, get ready all you "battle brawlers," Dan is ready for a battle.  As for Liam, he could care less about this guy.  He's just another mask in a long line of his brother's arsenal.

God does answer small prayers!

Lately I've been totally stressed out about Liam's fluid intake since his abrupt strike of the bottle. After many prayers and many attempts at different drinking apparatuses, we finally have a winner!  The straw sippy has won out as Liam's preferred method of drinking.  Notice, the frog above has a rubber band around him and is missing an arm.  It has been a tough road for all involved and injuries have occurred.  Praise the Lord for this little straw frog and his ability to withstand a 9 month old's abuse!

Picnic Perfect Weather

Mmmm...bananas!

Since Liam and Jude have been so sick, we haven't really gotten out of the house much.  Today Daddy had a great idea...meet him up at his new office for a picnic.  Daddy and Jude went exploring and had "sword" fights with sticks.  Liam enjoyed the weather and his new favorite fruit, bananas!  Who knew Daddy could have such great ideas? Ha!  We've decided to make it a weekly event as long as the weather permits.

Let's Go to the Zoo

It sounded like such a great idea...to me and 5 million other parents.  What was I thinking trying to take Jude to the zoo during Spring Break?  We sat in traffic for an hour just trying to get on the road that led to the zoo.  Plan B - ice cream and new flip flops.  The result was a very happy boy and a special day for just the two of us.  Where was Liam?  Grandma's house!  He's still sick!

Sicky Sicky Sicky

We have been stuck inside for the last week with rain and colds!  The Tylenol, Kleenex and tears have been flowin' pretty steadily here.  It started with Jude and worked it's way to Liam and now me.  Poor little Liam had a fever of 102+ for two days, but I think we might be at the tail end of things and the weather is amazing now.  We tried to go to the park this morning just to get out of the house and we were there for all of 10 minutes before we had to turn around and go home. Liam was in desparate need of a nap and his little nose is like a faucet today. He HATES it when I wipe his nose and screams at the top of his lungs.  Needless to say, Mom needs a little Tylenol herself and a bubble bath!  Calgon...take me away!

He's Growing Up Fast!

I thought I would include a little slideshow of Liam's life to date.  He is growing up so fast.  It's hard to believe that he is 9 months old already!  Where oh where does the time go?

It's been a little over 9 months now and Liam has settled in just fine.  He is loved by everyone, especially his big brother who just can't seem to love him enough.  When Liam first arrived, I explained Jude's love for him this way, "He just wants to squeeze the skin right off him."  It's much like the love of Elmyra Duff for kitties, "I love kittins, I love kitties, squeeze them into itty bittys!"  I honestly think Jude would like to do just that with Liam, squeeze him...to death!

And then there were two!
